Memories I’d Like To Re-Capture. 12/51 #LifeThisWeek. 29/2019.
I have just been talking to my husband about some of my memories and have realised that re-visiting can be harmful to my emotional health.
With that in mind, I have decided to be light-hearted as I think about these memories and the why I’d like to re-capture them.
- My post-op stint in ICU: July 2017. I want to go back…to get the physical perspective of the room. It puzzled me as in ICU I had no idea. In my room, later, I know I was facing north-east.
- It would be fun to pick up this little girl again…our daughter now 47, and to chat to Mum and Dad about their times living in the family home.
- Our first home, somewhat changed but still how we left it in 1993 when we sold. It would be good to go through again, as our adult daughter did when it was on the market again.
- Oh the fun and delight of being IN love and living this dream…picnic with my now husband, chatting and loving being together…only 48 years ago!
- This was very special. I left home at 5.30 a.m. in winter 2014 to capture this. Magical! Sunrise at Manly Beach: Shadowy figure turned out to be ‘famous on IG @robmulally’ & I spoilt his shot. We still follow each other.
- It would be awesome to swim here again as I did in Mossman Gorge. “I Still Call Australia Home” setting.
- Is there any better memory than your first child smiling and laughing at her grandmother – my Mum. My daughter misses my Mum very much as she played a big part in her young years.
- Memories of these: some I would like to re-capture, others…no! Many years of hairstyles, ages and weight up & down! LIFE!!
- I left this school and my role as its principal suddenly and because of my ill-health. I would have liked to have said thank you to those people who cared for about about me then. Some very sadly, are now no longer alive.
- Qualifications and degrees.
- Re-visited my primary school in 2012
- I took this trip via ferry to the city from Manly for granted when living near Manly as a teen as I did the harbour itself, the bridge and the Opera House. I have re-visited this memory twice in the past year.
How are you with memories? Can some be triggering too?
I know I like having a good memory but in some instances it is not a good thing!
