Views From Here. #LifeThisWeek 47/52. 2017.129.

I made a change to this title…to viewS from here! I also realised I had used this prompt before. Ah well.

In 2018 there will be a photo-based prompt called “Share Your Snaps” as part of #LifeThisWeek and it will be for each week ending in 0 or 5. i.e. 5/52 falls on Monday 29 January 2018 so add your post about anything or ones with photos or a mix of both!!

This post, for me, is a practice one but I am sure along the way I will change my ideas.

For today’s ViewS from Here, I looked back at November 2017 and found photos I had not posted on Instagram or my Facebook page. These tell the stories of my life on these days in November. Enjoy!

That my blogging friends and followers are my viewS from here.

I hope to see some of yours too.

As the year ‘winds down’ …and everyone is busier than usual, please come here and add an old post rather than think you need to follow the prompts!

No Christmas Day #LifeThisWeek.

But #LifeThisWeek for 2018 returns on….1.1.2018….with a retrospective of YOUR choice or an ‘old’ post from 2017.

I am sorry we can’t have a Christmas or End-Of-Year party but coming along and adding some comments and visiting others in ONE heck of a substitute.

I can eat cake!! I can make cake and share…with you virtually.

I hope the first week of December is treating you kindly.

Joining with Alicia here for Open Slather and Kell here for Mummy Mondays.

Thanks for linking up for #lifethisweek 47/52.

You can link up something old or new, just come on in. * Please add just ONE post each week! * Feel free to go with the prompt for the week to add your ‘take’ on the prompt. Or not. * Please do stay to comment on my post as I always reply and it’s a bloggy thing to do! * Check out what others are up to by leaving a comment because we all love our comments, right! * Add a link back to this blog in your post somewhere. I don’t have a ‘button’ so a link in text is fine! *Posts deemed by me, the owner of the blog and the link-up, to be unsuitable for my audience will be deleted without notice. * THANK you for linking up today!

Next week’s Prompt: Today I will.

And I will publish the first 9 prompts for 2018 next week!

Week after is last for 2017: Christmas Plans.

  1. Denyse, What beautiful vista’s, yummy food and amazing art works featured in your November. I’ve not had lemon Meringue pie for a long time. I had a bad experience with a bought one, that put me off them for a very long time. After looking at your yummy one, I’m prepared to give making one a go.

We’ve moving house next Monday, so not sure If I will be sharing a post that week. But will be back the week after.

    • Oh my goodness…moving house. Wishing you all the best. We will HAVE to do this again in August 2018 and rental houses with our BIG requirement, ducted air con, are scarce.
I only love this version of lemon meringue pie which is SO simple and easy. I am always disappointed with shop or restaurant ones.
Catch you back here on 18 Dec..the last one for 2017. D x

  2. Another enjoyable post Denyse and a great variety of photos to show your life. Jacarandas are gorgeous aren’t they although this year they bloomed in Brisbane very early and didn’t last very long. Lemon Meringue isn’t one of my favourites but your photo looks tempting. Thanks for the link up Denyse, I wrote about two views from both places we are living at the moment.

    • Thank you Sue, I am ‘over’ words for now if you know what I mean and I believe pics with some explanation appeal. This is one of the reasons every 5 weeks in 2018 will be “Share Your Snaps” and I think it is a great way to learn more about and from each other.
I thank you too for the support! D x

  3. Your lemon meringue pie is making my mouth water and its only breakfast time as I write this! Our agapanthus are starting to bloom as well! I love these glorious displays they put on at this time of year!

    • OH yes, it does mine too. I will make another one soon as it is something I can eat. The agapanthus will always remind me of both Christmas coming and my late MIL’s birthday which was 21 Dec. It is interesting how nature gives us reminders of progress each year. D x

  4. That shot with the crystal clear water is beautiful. You do live in a lovely part of the world….I will miss the beach this summer…

    • Thank you! I do love those experiences of letting the waves wash over me. Sorry you will miss the beach this summer. Does this mean you are travelling to another country or area of Australia? I agree that the Central Coast has some wonderful places to explore. D x

  5. We can have a virtual Christmas party & raise a toast to us all for getting through an interesting year. Love your view from here pics, they tell a great story.

    • Yes we can! Interesting year is such a good way of putting it!! Pics do tell good stories and that is one reason I am keep to do a photo-centred post/prompt every 5 weeks. D x

  6. Mmm, the donuts and beach ‘feet’ are totally appealing to me this morning!

    • Two senses highlighted for you thanks to the pics!! What a way to start your day! I love Donut King IF they make me a good coffee because they give ‘seniors’ 2 free donuts!! D x

  7. Thank you for the virtual cake! Much needed today, it’s a bit grey and soggy here right now.

I really enjoyed these little glimpses into your life.

    • I am glad the ‘cake’ helped!! We are coming to Lifehouse tomorrow for a post 2nd surgery check up and NOT looking forward to the M1 nor Sydney roads with the forecast weather. Crazy! Thank you for the comment about the little glimpses into my life. I hope that next year’s prompts every 5 weeks for photos will be a good one for everyone to join in. D x

  8. You made me realise that I’ve never had lemon meringue pie before. I think I’d love it too. Right now I’m sitting in front of the Christmas tree, drinking hot chocolate and patting a cute cat who’s snuggling right next to me.

I hope that you’re able to eat a bit more, and I can’t wait to see everyone photos for next year’s prompts 😀

    • That sounds VERY northern hemisphere-ish! The weather here today is wet and cool. Go figure. The lemon meringue pie is SOOOO easy to make and even easier to eat for me. I think I might add the recipe in a future blog post. I am going OK but we are returning to Sydney for a surgeon’s check up post-op and I will be interested in what he has to say about the pain and eating challenges. It IS getting a bit better though as I hope it is for you re pain post-op. D x

      • Fingers crossed for your follow up appointment Denyse. Hopefully he can help out with the pain at the very least.
I would love it if you posted your lemon meringue pie recipe so that I could try it out.

        • It is something I will do..promise! Off to Sydney in about 30 mins. It is cool and has been rainy too. Weird weather but better than a heatwave! Thanks for good wishes. I will update on FB. D xx

  9. I love the idea of a photo-heavy post, sometimes they are all I have the energy to do! Haha.

  10. Yay for virtual cake 🙂

  11. Oh Yes! for lemon meringue pie. I love your idea of ‘share your snaps’! I love sharing photos.

    • It is YUMMO and I will add my very simple recipe ( you would already know it I reckon) in a post soon. Glad you like “share your snaps” because yours are awesome and need more sharing! D x
