Share Your Snaps #2. 10/51.#LifeThisWeek.  24/2019.

A week of being out and near water……from the past 10 days…here on N.S.W. Central Coast and a bit further north. Hairstyles on me courtesy of the wind conditions. I love being by the water and when it can capture my full attention like this!

Saturday at Canton Beach: Tuggerah Lake.

Tuesday after a stressful morning…..ahhhhh a Beach Walk at Lakes Beach!

Wednesday at The Entrance. Look carefully at the little shapes…fishies!

Thursday a big change swept through…but it did not stop me. Love the beach to myself.

Friday I drove about 45 minutes up the coast to a part of Lake Macquarie: Toronto. Magical spot.

My face when I am near the water! Oh and the seagull who was NOT camera-shy!

The water and its surrounds is a healing space for me. Is it for you?

Looking forward to seeing your snaps if you are joining in and to read your posts.

Kell is running her link up here on Mondays.

  1. I love your share your snaps posts – and today’s is no exception. Have a great week.

  2. Lovely beach photos, Denyse. I like your Friday magical spot by Lake Macquarie since it has my city’s name: Toronto 🙂 Have a beautiful week!

    • I love that connection. I admit there is not much in Australian place names that do not have origin elsewhere such as Canada! We do have some Aboriginal names for towns and cities though.

      Thanks Natalie.

  3. Gorgeous beach images. So pleased to say that this week I am holidaying in Merimbula And I am enjoying trips to the beach daily! Woo hoo!

    • Magical Merimbula! A mecca for many Victorians and a place where I spent a few days back in 2013 when doing observations for a teacher in a NSW school. I flew there so the views from the plane were just the best.

Lots of fun and water-based activities for you all this week!

  4. Always good to see the beach, especially when you live int he mountains like I do!! Lovely shots Denyse 🙂 Enjoy your week and thanks again.

    • Thanks Debbie. I tend to forget you are Snowy Mountains area not on the plains of the south west.

The beach is great but your place has a special magic too.

  5. You certainly make the most of where you live. There’s something so lovely about the beach, even on the non swim days!

    • I have not been visiting as much so in the last week have made the effort even if the day is not nice. There is something special about a blustery day walking on the beach and blowing the cobwebs away!

  6. Love your pics Denyse. Living right near Lake Macquarie myself I have to say it is one of my favourite places.

    • Yes indeed you do. Good to see you back. Waterways are entrancing and we are pleased to have so many to choose from.

  7. Well you can certainly see that the beach is your happy place Denyse! The only photos I’ve taken lately are of our kitten – not exactly rivetting stuff for a blog post (unless you’re obsessed with Scottish Fold kittens like I am atm!) So I’ve shared some quotes with pretty backgrounds instead xx

    • I admit I had never heard of your breed of kitten but I sure do now.

I love that you have a special pet to engage you so much as your transition through a time in your life after work.

  8. Lovely photos Denyse. We haven’t been to the Coast since New Year and I’m missing my walks by the ocean. In saying that we do have the Brisbane River which is lovely to walk or run by. Thanks for the link up and have a great week! xx

    • You do live in the best of both worlds Sue. I understand about not getting to the coast much. I thought this year I would go for a swim in the ocean. No, the weather has been too hot for the beach and the surf is quite rough here. I still get a lot from a walk by the water and a paddle in it too.

  9. Lovely pics – such a pretty part of the world! Being a cancerian, I love being near water, I just don’t like being in it!
