Ready. Set. School.

Ready.

Set.

School.

Welcome to Friday’s News. This Friday, 2nd March 2012,  is the first post about Ready.Set.School.

Guess what?

It is not about a race to get to school.

Nor is it a competition to see whose child is ready for school.

It is this.

A program of guidance, suggestions, hints and more to help YOU, the parent of your child, prepare for the eventual start at school.

What does it mean, though?

In my experience, the way a parent approaches this first significant change in a child’s life…after birth, and the many challenges of babyhood, toddler-dom, and pre-school  is a significant factor in how well the child does.

  • being the adult who needs to make choices for your child, and being confident in these choices made is worrying more and more parents in the 21st Century.
  • it would seem that there is too much information and choice..or is it mis-information?
  • everyone wants the best for their child.

This page, each time I post, will be about ideas, and guidance to help you be the best parent you can as you wind your way through the maze of choices, and change. Are you coming along to be  part of Ready.Set.School. ?

I kid you not… I am sitting here with the twins prep enrolment forms in front of me. I had just filled in one electronically… when the form suddenly crashed and I lost it all. Tears. So I’m taking a little break by visiting my beloved blogosphere before I fill out the forms… the old fashioned way. Long night ahead. :(
