Share Your Snaps 3. #LifeThisWeek 15/52. 2018.31.

What a year to date.

How have the first three months of 2018 been for you?

I am preparing this post in advance of our house move in the first week of April.

It did come quickly but as we could no longer extend the rental period here from August and we had a very specific brief for the next rental place, when one came up we saw it, applied for it and got it within 24 hours.

Fortunately we are continuing to rent through the same agency. Their property management team is brilliant and have always helped us with any issues. In fact, we are regarded according to what the senior Property Manager tells the team, ‘gold standard tenants’. This went in our favour as usually it is an initial 6 months lease here on the Central Coast  but the owners of our next place, said “12 months is fine.”

Here’s my snaps – only a selection of course – from March 2018.

I hope you have shared your snaps here this week and linked up.

It does not have to be on prompt of course, so if you have another post, do join in, as it is a very friendly space.

Thank you,

Denyse.

I join in with Alicia for her Monday link too here.

You can link up something old or new, just come on in. * Please add just ONE post each week! * Feel free to go with the prompt for the week to add your ‘take’ on the prompt. Or not. * Please do stay to comment on my post as I always reply and it’s a bloggy thing to do! * Check out what others are up to by leaving a comment because we all love our comments, right! * Add a link back to this blog in your post somewhere. I don’t have a ‘button’ so a link in text is fine! *Posts deemed by me, the owner of the blog and the link-up, to be unsuitable for my audience will be deleted without notice. * THANK you for linking up today!

Next Week is the optional prompt’: 16/52.  “What Is Friendship?” 16.4.18.

  1. Very nice photos, Denyse. I hope that all’s well with your move and settling in your new home.

    • Thanks Natalie. We are ‘getting there’ as they say! Now if the daily newspaper delivery could be sorted at ‘their end’ I would be delighted. Denyse x

  2. Yay on the prothestic! And I chuckled on the Pennant Hills road comment…Ha!~ Hope the move went well and you’re now happilysettled! Get some pots to dress up that front yard…

    • Thanks Lydia, yes that was a comment for Sydney-siders and anyone else travelling south/north who is unused to it must get a shock at Pennant Hills Rd. Have my pots ready and will be sorting that soon as it cools down!! Denyse x

  3. What an eventful first three months! How’s the move, you must be exhausted. I like the look of that prosthetic, it must feel like the home stretch by now.
My first three months have been very eventful as well, except mine has been lots of trips. I went to Ottawa and Toronto and right now I’m in Maui. This year is going to be fun for travel I think. I have a sneaky trip to Sydney planned in August as well (Shhh!) lol. It’s a surprise.
This week I linked a post about spring in the US since I am so sick of winter now. And there are some great colourful pics in there which made me smile a lot.

    • Yes…here’s to improved health and recovery for us both. I “thought” I had the end in sight but my mouth healing TOO tightly mucked that up. How good you are in Maui now. Whilst I haven’t been there I already know how much you love it. As for Sydney..shhhh.

  4. I hope the move to your new home went smoothly and well.

    • Thank you! Overall it went well. We did so much work beforehand with packing we congratulated ourselves..but with around 100 boxes and labelled well, my poor hub cannot find a cable for his TV right now. Sigh. As much as I may find moving traumatic as I would like it to be permanent, this house is less than 3 years old so has all new features. Denyse x

  5. I was shocked to see Castle ill last time I was there, but it looks even more changed.

    • I just shook my head and thought WHO ARE the people who will live in these towers..near The Towers..derrr. So many all the way through Hornsby and more. Sad. Denyse x

  6. Good luck with the move Denyse. Hope it’s not too stressful!

    • Thanks Jody I managed it well I think despite an IBS attack but it IS good to have it done and the inspection has been done on the old place so look forward to some dollars coming back INTO our account instead of OUT. Denyse x

  7. Best of luck with the move, Denyse and well done for being such excellent tenants. Looking forward to reading more about your new place soon.

    SSG xxx

    • Thank you SSG. We are “in” and we could be in any suburb in Norwest and Western Sydney. It is only 6 minutes away from where we were before but is away from the water and I think this estate has been created on a former farm…judging by the flies!! Denyse x

  8. Love your mini cupcakes! Also, batch cooking is something I’ve been wanting to organise for ages.

  9. It’s been ages since I’ve done a Monday post. SO sorry!
Loving your mini cupcakes and am watching on Instagram with interest (and a dose of shared stress) as you move. Hope it’s all going OK. Look forward to seeing the new digs.

    • Thanks dear Leanne and thanks for being back. I must say there is nothing much special about where we are in that it is exactly like the newer sub-divisions in Sydney and Canberra. However, it is modern and we are very pleased with the ducted air con. Wouldn’t it be nice to stop the cancer/stress/worry train for a while? That’s how I feel some days. Love to you Denyse x

  10. I hope you’re settling into your new home well 🙂

    • Yes it is going well. The NBN was easy peasy which was good as it is fibre to the premises here whereas in the last place it was fibre to the node. Thanks for your good wishes. Denyse x

  11. Great variety of photos Denyse and I always enjoy your Instagram pics. I hope you and hubby will be very happy in your new home. The mandela is beautiful and I love the idea of the four seasons. Thanks for sharing and also don’t forget to link up on Wednesday at Midlife Share the Love Party (if you can find your laptop under all the boxes!)

    • Thank you Sue. We are both glad it is done. It is a huge stress and getting older is not helping it. However we used a big professional company we had before and they did much of the hard work. I was a bit upset by IBS with the stress of that + new surgery looming. However, I was organised enough to have this post and tomorrow’s scheduled and will link up on Wednesday. Denyse x

  12. Sorry it has taken me nearly a week to circle back and say hi and thank you for the linkup. Like you we are settling into our new home and despite lots of decluttering we still have too many boxes to unpack. I expect to be in a very much clearer space by next Sunday. Have a wonderful week.

    • Oh yes, and of course it is fine to be ‘late’. Last week I made myself go on-line to comment and link in between unpacking. Really still have ‘too much’ I guess but until we move to a ‘forever home of our own’ there are some things worth hanging onto.

Your place looks just lovely. Ahhhh. Settle in and enjoy!
