Mindfulness by Jon Kabat-Zinn. 366/13.

I write about mindfulness. I am learning to be more mindful.

It is a challenge! Oh yes.

All of the times I am meditating I am being mindful (mostly!) but mindfulness each day is even more effective.

I am not going to say much more.

The ‘guru’ for me, of the modern mindfulness practices and someone who I respect from afar is Jon Kabat-Zinn.

Look him up, see his many different books and CDs and I already listen to his wisdom in a number of ways.

  1. I think I need to take a moment or two and try and digest the latest curve ball thrown our way and then just get on with things. I’m honestly exhausted just thinking about things right now and don’t have much time or head space for much else.

    The good news in all the chaos, is that we’ve bumped our desire to sell our NSW house to purchase over here finally and aiming for the end of the year, once my daughter has finished her HSC.

    • I hear you on the ‘exhausting and thinking’ and with your family’s needs coming first (especially) with your DD then what else can a loving mama be? Might I suggest at least 5-10 minutes just being outside – looking at nature or just taking time away from computer/phone to ‘be’ and breathe. I am pleased you feel that taking the decision to sell in NSW will help you move along. As someone who is only JUST coming out of the ‘treacle’ of what I know you are treading in, it does happen but it is very slow too. Always up for a chat if you want…. Denyse x
